Custom Foot Orthotics and Orthopedic Shoes

Custom foot orthotics are often prescribed for rectifying or accommodating foot issues. Depending on your individual needs, your orthotist/pedorthist will design a personalized treatment plan. Our custom foot orthoses are made for you in our in-house lab, with purposeful materials based on your individual needs. This will be discussed during your first appointment.

Custom Inserts Benefits

The average person takes between 5,000 and 10,000 steps per day. During ambulation, if there is improper motion or alignment in your feet many other areas of your body can suffer. That pain can be experienced throughout your legs, feet, knees, hips, and back. Custom foot orthoses can be valuable to help align your foot and ankle which facilitate a healthier gait further assisting in the movement and positioning of your body to reduce pain.

Orthopedic Shoe Benefits

There is no denying that orthopedic shoes can make your feet feel good and aid in restoring mobility. Orthopedic shoes help in assisting with diabetic nerve pain, preserving your arches, plantar fasciitis, flat feet, bunions, hammertoes, ulcers, or calluses. Far too often major foot problems occur simply from wearing the incorrect-sized shoes. Orthopedic shoes cushion your heels, provide support to arches and realign your feet which helps with appropriate body alignment. It is extremely important for those suffering from diabetic foot issues to protect their feet with proper footwear.

Before Your First Appointment

All prosthetic, orthotic, and pedorthic patients will need to obtain a prescription from their physician (physician notes if required for device) for an orthotic or prosthetic device, including therapeutic shoes. During your evaluation appointment, you'll meet your clinician, review your prescription, ask questions, and discuss your goals. After you've consulted with a clinician, our office staff will work up an estimate for your device(s), as well as schedule the necessary follow-up appointments for you.
