Our lower limb fitting process at Manuel Garcia Prosthetic & Orthotic Centers is customized to your individual needs. For 50 years we have been striving to deliver the highest quality prosthetics to amputees in NE Ohio.

  • Initial Evaluation
  • Together with the physician and rehabilitation specialists, we assess the total individual in terms of function, cosmesis, and comfort.
  • Custom Design and Fitting
  • Each prosthesis or orthosis is designed for the specific patient through the use of casts, measurements, and working models.
  • First Fitting and Alignment
  • Our specialists ensure that socket shape meets maximal fit and comfort specifications. Alignment is adjusted to individual gait and balance.
  • Final Fitting
  • Following a complete check of the prosthesis or orthosis, the patient is instructed in its use and care.
  • Ongoing follow-ups and personal care are critical.
  • Patients are checked periodically to ensure continuing fit, alignment, function, as activity increases.
  • Hospital Calls and Home Visits
  • We do make hospital calls.
  • For our patients with transportation problems, we can schedule home visits.
